Give contacts access to the 1040 Tax Organizer

You can enable the 1040 Tax Organizer for a contact associated with a particular client. The contact must already be registered for Client Center before you set up access to the 1040 Tax Organizer. The contact must also have a relationship as a client’s preferred contact, spouse, or tax matters contact in order to access the 1040 Tax Organizer.

To enable access, follow these steps.

  1. Choose Setup > All Contacts and click Edit next to the name of the contact.
  2. Click the Client Center Access tab.
  3. Click the Enable 1040 Tax Organizer switch. If you don't see this switch, you can't activate the 1040 Tax Organizer for the contact. You may be prompted to select a client to connect to this contact.
  4. Click Save.
