Set up multi-factor authentication after you reset or purchase a mobile device

If you lose your phone, trade it in, get a new mobile device, or reset your current device to factory settings, you can either pair an additional device with your account to ensure continued access to Onvio or complete these steps to enable multi-factor authentication on the new device.

  1. Install the Thomson Reuters Authenticator app or a third-party Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) multi-factor authentication app on the new device.
  2. Unpair the old device from your account.
  3. Set up multi-factor authentication to link your account on the new device.

Unpair the old device from your account

  1. Log in to Onvio.
  2. Click your profile icon and then click the View Profile link.
  3. On the Profile panel, click the Authenticator tab. Your paired MFA devices are listed here.
  4. Click the Remove button and enter your password to remove a paired device.

If you are switching to a new device because the previous device was traded in, lost, or inaccessible, see Log in to Onvio when your mobile device is not accessible.
